CD9 is a type IV transmembrane glycoprotein with four transmembrane domains. CD9 on pre-B cells may play a role in cell-cell adhesion. In addition, CD9 may play a role in signal transduction mediated by interaction with low molecular weight GTP binding proteins. CD9 is expressed on early B cells, eosinophils, basophils and activated T cells and is a major component of the platelet cell surface. It is also expressed on most non-T acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells and on some acute myeloid and chronic lymphoid leukemia.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.

Thyroglobulin is a 660 kDa dimeric pre-protein with mutiple glycosylation sites. It is produced by and processed within the thyroid gland to produce the hormone thyroxine and triiodothyronine. Prior to forming dimers, thyroglobulin monomers undergo conformational maturation in the endoplasmic reticulation. The vast majority of follicular carcinomas of the thyroid will give positive immunoreactivity for anti-thyroglobulin even though sometimes only focally. Poorly differentiated carcinomas of the thyroid are frequently anti-thyroglobulin negative. Adenocarcinomas of other-than-thyroid origin do not react with this antibody. This antibody is useful in identification of thyroid carcinoma of the papillary and follicular types. Presence of thyroglobulin in metastatic lesions establishes the thyroid origin of tumor. M Endo LES Agar is a selective and differential medium used for the enumeration of total coliform bacteria in water samples using the membrane filtration method. LES stands for Lawrence Experimental Station, indicating a formulation optimized for improved coliform recovery. Each plate contains approximately 20 mL of distinctive reddish pink agar designed to differentiate bacteria based on lactose fermentation. The medium includes sodium sulfite and basic fuchsin, which inhibit Gram positive organisms while acting as indicators. When membrane filters containing bacteria are placed on the agar surface, lactose fermenting coliforms such as E. coli produce red colonies often displaying a characteristic green metallic sheen. Non lactose fermenters appear colorless or pale pink, allowing reliable identification of coliform contamination in water samples.
